Palestine for Slavists
This symposium seeks to bring to light on the complex legacies of historical relationships between the former socialist world and Palestine and their contemporary ramifications. As a way to reflect on the contemporary crisis and its global relevance, our goal is to consider this complex intersecting history in relation to larger questions around solidarity-building and legacies of leftist thought and practices across regional and academic disciplines.
Speakers: Margaret Litvin (Boston University), Elizabeth Bishop (Texas Tech), Rabii Al Hantouli (Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Montenegro), Rasha Salti (Beirut/ Marseille), Hatim El-Hibri (George Mason University). Hosted by Masha Salazkina.
